Environmental Justice Camps for Girls
In partnership with Citizens for a Healthy Bay and Pen Met Parks, we designed all three camps to allow ladies to develop their own definition for environmental justice while:

▪️tidepooling at Thea’s Park or DeMolay Sandspit

▪️learning about the dangers of micro plastics

▪️boat patrolling Commencement Bay

▪️cleaning up the beach at Jack Hyde Park

▪️writing a Letter to the Editor

▪️creating an art piece w/ beach cleanup debris

These camps are designed for young ladies ages 11-14. Participants may meet at our camp site or at Tacoma Urban League each day at 8:30A if transportation is needed. Continental breakfast, lunch, and a snack will be provided. Camp is FREE. Please select camp date(s) below.
